Winter is definitely here with temps getting into the 40’s and 50’s at night. With that being said, it’s really not that bad as long as we have good warmups between cold fronts. This is definitely nothing like we had in the Winter of 09 and 10. That was a Winter I will not soon forget. Our Snook and Juvenile Tarpon took a hard hit, that’s for sure. In my opinion, these cool downs can make for great fishing once the temps pick up throughout a day of fishing in The Everglades National Park. Watching The Glades come to life as the Sun warms certain areas can be pretty darn fun.
Snook are scattered throughout The Glades right now along with Redfish, Speckled Seatrout and Juvenile Tarpon. Catching a Backcountry Slam on any given day in The Glades is always cast away! I recently had a Father/Son duo. Tommy and his Pops, Jim out in The Park and we had a blast! Tommy is a young Hockey player and you could definitely tell with his casting. “Tight is Right” is my motto and Tommy could definitely get it in there Thanks again for checking out my website! These are the places that made Fly Fishing what it is today Semper Fi, Capt. Ron
