Everglades City and Chokoloskee can be really nice this time of year.
I’m not only talking about our “Chamber of Commerce” weather in the Fall/Winter, but the fishing can be pretty darn good also! Fly fishing or Spin/Plug fishing for Snook, Tarpon & Redfish can be spectacular this time of year! As the cold fronts move down through Florida so do the water temps. This can make the fish very active at times. If we’re being honest, I love a cold “morning” in The Everglades. This means my Clients and I don’t have to be out at the CRACK, of dawn that is. A later start can be the Power Play sometimes. I love giving The Glades some time to heat up. Being out in The Park and hearing the Snook popping or watching some Redfish busting bait or seeing Tarpon actively rolling is what it’s all about. A lot of times all it takes is the Sun to get a little higher in the sky to get things going. It’s like Mother Nature is giving the fish a little “nudge” to instigate a feeding period. Feel free to give me a shout or reach out to me through my website to book your next fishing adventure. Enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and friends! Semper Fi, Capt. Ron
